Salesperson

Type A Machines is seeking a talented salesperson for a commissioned sales position. This job is a mix of inbound lead conversion and cold-calling of un-vetted leads. The ideal candidate can effectively manage deal flow with minimal oversight.

Core Responsibility:

  • Direct sales of originally manufactured 3D printer equipment, and materials.

Job Duties:

  • Take orders in-person and over the phone
  • Negotiate price for the sale
  • Focus on interacting with potential as well as existing customers on a daily basis
  • Develop a deep understanding of 3D printing technology and Additive Manufacturing as a whole
  • Gain an understanding of use cases, customer applications, and product market fit
  • Recognize the needs of the customer and provide detailed information about the value-propositions, and technical specifications of our products
  • Contribute to strategy to promote thought-leadership to our partner community and the broader industry
  • Identify creative methods for getting sales message to designers and manufacturers
  • Create sales pitches and presentations
  • Travel as needed (at company expense)
  • Demonstrate product features at trade shows and events
  • Stay abreast of current market trends

Skills/expertise:

  • 1-3+ years' experience in B2B technology Sales or Account Management

Software Engineer

Type A Machines is the creator of the Series 1 3D printing platform. We offer an integrated platform of a desktop unit with network connected OS and web based UI, along with our Print Pod, a mesh-style system featuring 6 printers with our own proprietary control software to enable manufacturers and large-scale prototyping customers to realize results at scale with multiple Pods.

We are expanding our development team. We are looking for experienced software engineers, and a possible lead engineer depending on the candidate, working with systems including; Linux packaging, embedded systems, full-stack web apps, and desktop application development, using both open source and proprietary software.

Essential Skills:

  • Python development experience
  • Javascript / CSS / HTML
  • Git/Bitbucket/Github
  • Experience used bug tracking software
  • Experience creating/using APIs; including knowledge of REST
  • Experience with deployment tools such as APT, for OTA updates.
